Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season introduces a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
